New Principal Selection Process...
Mr. Bob Lynch, Area Superintendent, attended the January 14th Local School Advisory Committee meeting and presented information on the selection process of the new principal. The selection process began with a job posting on the Fulton County website. This posting will run through February 10, 2010. The position is open to all qualified applicants. Parent and staff members have received a "Principal Screening Survey" form for input into the selection process. The parent survey was sent home with students on Friday, January 22nd. The survey is to be returned to the school office no later than Friday, January 29th. All applicants will be screened by Mr. Lynch and two other Area Superintendents. The top 5-10 applicants will be interviewed for the position on February 25, 2010. The interview team will consist of Dr. Linda Anderson, Deputy Superintendent of Instruction, Mr. Lynch, Roswell Area Superintendent, a Principal from the Roswell area, a representative from Human Resources, two parents (from LSAC and PTA Executive Committee) and two teachers. It is projected that Dr. Loe will make a final recommendation to the Board of Education at the March 9, 2010 Board of Education meeting. Staff and community will be informed after the Board of Education approves the recommendation. For more information contact Mr. Lynch at lynchr@fultonschools.org.
