We are pleased to announce that the PTO Proposal was passed by an overwhelming majority of those who voted at the election.  The PTO Formation Committee has submitted the application to the IRS to obtain 501(c)3 status so that the PTO can operate as a non-profit charitable corporation.  We will continue to operate as a PTA until we receive a determination letter from the IRS granting us tax-exempt status.  We will communicate to the Sweet Apple community when we receive this letter and will commence the transfer of PTA funds to the PTO at that time.

 

In addition, as of June 1, 2012 the newly elected PTO slate of officers will take office.  Those officers are:

 

Co-Presidents:  Amie Koporc and Diana Rossman

Secretary:  Casey Mellor

Treasurer:  Michele McBride

Co-VPs of Fundraising and Membership:  Marnie Allen and Julie Pitser

Co-VPs of Student and Family Services:  Lisa Harrison and Paige Santmyer

Co-VPs of Educational Enrichment:  Lauri Klotz and Jen Thompson
